Missiles
Missiles are always the bane of any pilot. They do a lot of damage, and depending on the tracking type, they are hard to evade. Missiles come in various breeds:
- Dumb fire (DF): zero guidance ... useful for pounding slow moving targets.
- Heat Seeking (HS): they'll lock to the nearest heat source, re-aquiring a lock periodically.
- Image Recognition (IR): Locks onto the shape of the ship. Pretty good if you have opponents all in the same ship, they'll all get a taste of your firepower
- Electro Magnetic (EM): Locks onto the EMF signature of a ship.
- Hybrids (HY): Uses a mixture of technologies to make for a deadly missile. These missiles do not have a class rating, rather they are individually named and categorised.
