Praelium Installation Database
From KruelWiki
Space stations and ground installations are scattered throughout the universe of Praelium.
These stations range from tiny sensor outposts to massive orbitals containing hundreds of thousands of people.
Military
Millitary outposts generally are armed to the teeth, contain the very latest of defensive technology and their own fighter or smaller ship compliment.
- Sensor Outpost
- Designed soley to examine a region of space and call for reinforcements these stations are nevertheless armed and ready to defend the human race.
- Supply Station
- All millitary ships need supplies and these stations hold them.
- Fortress Station
- These stations while capable of holding supplies or scannign nearby space are primarily area control tools and contain many times the armament of the other classes.
- Ground Station
- While space is unlimited above planets, ground is cheaper and often the place to join one of the many Roman Legion.
Commercial
Commercial Space stations are owned by conglomerates of businesses or smaller enterprises. These stations generally provide everything they have space for as well as many places for relaxation.
- Null Gravity
- Cheap stations without gravity they can be anything from a few derelict ships strapped together to an orbital factory.
- Centrifugal Station
- the second cheapest style of station, these provide gravity by spinning in place. This tends to make them a little more fragile and is not nessacary in todays modern world.
- Artifical Gravity
- Artificial Gravity is expensive and only the most prestiguos classes of station use it. Dark moon Casinoes and Deep space resorts are in this class.
- Science
- These stations are grouped with vessels due to their general nature of moving every several years.
Private
Private stations are not unknown, yet are relatively rare. These stations are not to be approached in the majority of cases.
- Emperors Station
- The Roman Empire maintains several 'holiday' stations for the upper most administation. These stations are armed to the teeth and maintain a fire on sight policy
- Mining Station
- On occasion some individuals find themselves wealthy enough to build their own ore processing station, these stations are often armed to prevent raiding and are invite only. Despite the risk invites are well sought after as prices are often better at these stations.
- Luxury Station
- These are the rarest station of all, privatised stations for the benefit of a small group of people, mostly only one.
